The 10th edition of the Microgrid Global Innovation Forum will take place between the 9th and 11th of September 2019 in London. The conference is organised by the Smart Grid Observer – an online information resource that focuses on the smart grids and the green-tech sectors. The event will focus on technical advances, applications and case studies from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
The agenda is formed by a wide range of topics revolving around the effective use of renewables and the business model for micro grids, which will be backed by case studies of applications in on- and off-grid environments.
The conference will begin by a half-day workshop on the 9th of September concerning microgrid economics analysis and financing, followed by the two-day conference where the topics which will be discussed include:
- Market trends, drivers and opportunities
- Issues that surround establishing a business case, project evaluation and financing, regulations and policy
- Technical aspects like renewable energy and energy storage advances, as well as control and integration
The conference will be an excellent chance to learn about the latest developments in microgrids and also a great networking opportunity. A member of the Sustainable Islands International will be among the presenters – Dr. Enrique Troncoso from Systeng Consulting will talk about the The BIG HIT Project in Orkney and Hydrogen as Energy Vector/Storage for Remote Integrated Systems.
