The 11th Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF) – the largest annual gathering of the energy market in the region – will be held between the 16th and 18th of October 2019 in Miami, Florida. Since its inception in 2009 the conference has grown to host over 500 delegates from 50 countries in the 2018 event. Among these participants are representatives of governments, local utilities, investors and renewable energy companies.
The agenda of this year’s CREF conference will revolve around a few critical themes involving
- Success stories from the region, next steps and future prospects
- Economics and financing of decentralised systems
- Pathways to increased grid resilience
The event will also present the opportunity to hear about renewable energy and the economy from the perspective of Caribbean heads of state.
Given the number of attendees and the variety of institutions they represent, the conference will be an excellent networking opportunity. Additionally, companies interested in developing solutions for islanded communities will have the chance hear about the latest trends in renewable energy solutions for islanded communities. Registration for the event is currently open and there is a 10% discount for attendants registering before the 16th of July.
