In October 2017, Scottish Enterprise (SE) and Highlands & Islands Enterprise (HIE) launched a major new 3-year funding programme to assist Scottish-based organisations that offer energy products, systems and services that are suitable for application in islands and remote communities (remote means off-grid, but may be on the mainland) to export to international markets.
