The UK Caribbean Infrastructure programme is a £300 million pound programme funded by UK Government. The funding is for large infrastructure and could include renewable energy projects and energy efficiency projects are eligible for financing.
More information on the fund can be found here.
The UK will host three information events in:
- Manchester (8th of July)
- Bristol (10th of July)
- London (11th of July)
The events are part of a roadshow organised in collaboration with the UK Department of International Trade (DIT). The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) is involved in a wide range of development projects in economic infrastructure, water and sanitation, energy, climate change adaptation and mitigation, education and social development and governance. These events will be a chance for UK companies to hear more about ongoing projects and a potential opportunity for consultants, suppliers and contractors to get involved. The presentations will be led by officials from the CBD, but there will also be representatives from the DIT’s Caribbean offices that will be able to provide insights into doing business in the region. Participants can register at the links to the events: Manchester, Bristol and London.
One of the Sustainable Islands International team will be attending the roadshow, so we will share a note on this afterwards.
