Webinar – Reinventing Islands as Living Labs for Resilience

Launched in 2017 the Zilient.org platform allows individuals working in the global resilience field to network and share knowledge online. The platform was developed through a $5.5 Million Commitment by The Rockefeller Foundation, In Partnership with Thomson Reuters Foundation, Blue State Digital and OnFrontiers.

Zilient is holding a webinar on Wednesday July 25th at 11:00 ET / 16:00 BST to discuss how islands can become more resilient by building back better after disasters, using digital technology, switching to renewable energy and protecting their natural resources.

The panel is:

  • Kate Brown, Executive Director, Global Island Partnership
  • Axel de Vries, Manager for Advisory Services, EY Dutch Caribbean
  • Angela Burnett, Author, The Irma Diaries

Moderator: Megan Rowling, Zilient.org editor & Thomson Reuters Foundation journalist.

The webinar is free and will be streamed on Zilient’s Facebook page. If you register to attend via Zoom you can submit questions beforehand and participate in the live discussion.
